Overview
Knowing how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) is critical and often literally lifesaving information. In our CPR/AED for the Community and Workplace course, you will learn how to safely and properly perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, as well as how to use an AED for people of all ages. This course is designed to provide an easy-to-remember, step-by-step procedure that you can follow in an emergency situation that may arise at work or in your everyday life.
This CPR/AED course is appropriate for both those who have never been certified previously as well as those seeking recertification. The course materials were developed by a team of industry and medical professionals and include videos, photos, and text descriptions of each step. Once you have worked through the online course and passed the exam, you will be issued a digital certificate immediately via email and a hard copy will be mailed to you within 24 hours, both of which are valid for two years.
Our goal in creating this online course is to allow students to learn in a low-stress environment, so it can be completed at your own pace. You will be able to stop and start as needed or complete the entire course in one sitting, and it usually takes no more than one hour. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you will be allowed to retake the final exam without any additional fee.
